Header HTML
Updated over a year ago

The Header HTML feature allows you to add HTML, CSS, or JavaScript to the header section of your site. Quickly add tracking code, JavaScript to your site's <head> section through a simple user interface.

  • Only use code you are familiar with and from a source that you trust.

  • It is a good idea to use the Site Backup Feature before adding custom code.

  • This feature gives you access to the <head> HTML section, <body end> HTML section, and allows you to configure quick navigation. For access to other HTML Predefined Sections see Developer Mode

Consent management apps are not able to prevent code from running prior to consent when the code is placed in the header HTML. This is because Website Builder optimizes the structure and order of how content loads, based on performance best practices on the site. We place scripts and CMP banners lower on the page, in order to improve the performance of primary content. Because of this, it is recommended to place code in the body-end when using a consent management app.

We cannot assist in troubleshooting custom code.
